British Invasion: Yardley London, Fit for a (the) Queen

Throughout the past three centuries the Yardley London name has often been thought of a quintessential British brand – synonymous with superior quality and ingredients. When Yardley started business in the City of London in 1770, lavender was the herb chosen to perfume an exclusive range of luxury soaps. Beauty icons such Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton have graced their ads (see them here) – but they aren’t the only famous Brit fans.

THE ROYAL WARRANT

Beginning in 1921, Yardley London has been honoured with six Royal Warrants. A Royal Warrant is an honour afforded only the finest British companies for service and quality of their products. Fit for the Queen.

Earlier this month we unveiled the brand’s fresh new packaging. Have a peek.

Bill Cunningham New York

“We all get dressed for Bill,” says Anna Wintour of New York’s most beloved snapper in fashion. His honest and inspired insights into street style go beyond fashion and trends and often act as a commentary on the beat of Gotham City life at that moment in time.

It goes without saying that we’re excited for Bill Cunningham New York, the new documentary which chronicles the life of the man behind the lens, the one who started it all.

Desia: “He is one of the sweetest men in the industry.  I used to seat him front row at the New York shows with his analog camera. He wouldn’t know me from Adam but he was always so nice.”
